Meredith Keppel's Biography
Meredith Keppel's passion has always been making environmental concepts accessible and exciting. Whether on technical advisory committees or tabling at farmers' markets, her excitement about creating sustainable futures has led to award-winning research, engagement campaigns, and presentations. Meredith now provides project management support to a variety of IEN programs. She is a certified mediator with a social justice framework and enjoys using her conflict negotiation and mediation skills in both her personal and professional life. Meredith's experience in making concepts accessible to a variety of audiences is often put to use in her projects, including her work on the RAFT and IEN's Foundations of Community-Based Facilitation.
Meredith graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a concentration in policy and economics. She joined IEN in June 2024 after spending 2 years in Fredericksburg working as the Environmental Planner for the Planning District Commission. Prior to working at the Planning District, Meredith worked at a variety of different conservation organizations.
