Alysse Dowdy's Biography
Alysse attended UVA for undergrad, receiving degrees in Youth & Social Innovation and American Studies with a concentration in Race & Ethnicity. She went on to attain her Masters in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University.
Before joining the Weldon Cooper Center, Alysse was a first-grade teacher in Washington D.C and later worked in Business Operations for a local bakery in the Hampton Roads area.
Outside of work, Alysse enjoys an array of hobbies like horseback riding, ballet, and needlepoint stitching.
